The rules of the game....
I've been toying with several ideas in my head to keep this fun, challenging and interesting. The whole POINT of Project Runway is to design something, and if we plan to play along, we should stretch ourselves.
My thoughts are-KALrs should arm themselves with a BASIC garment pattern (like those in Ann Budd's book) and a stitch dictionary. And finishing books. There's not much designing to the phrase "I'm gonna knit number 12 in the latest VK (or IWK, or Knitters) and change the color." NO! NO! NO! Even "I'm going to knit #12, and change it from a funnelneck to a V, and make it a summer top instead of a winter sweater"-THAT implies design modification.
We should vote at the end of the season for our favorite projects.
We should have different levels (beginner, intermediate, and OK, nothing scares ME!) as well as different project categories. I've been knitting for years-and I SHOULD be in the "Ok, nothing scares me" category.
I'll be glad to listen to your feedback here...!
